										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p data-path-to-node="6"><em>Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is an important and universal tool for chemical profiling. Combined with chemometrics for statistical interpretation and visualisation, the technique has gained recognition as an efficient method for assessing the quality and safety of vegetable oils. Nevertheless, its application in palm oil traceability is scarce. In this investigation, different origins, types and preparations of palm oils, olive oils, virgin coconut oils (VCO) and seed oils from sesame, black caraway, argan, corn, peanut and sunflower were examined for their chemical attributes using proton (1H) NMR. The analysis used milligrams quantity of samples and was proven to be rapid with minimal sample preparation and analysis time. The statistical components of the multivariate model generated from the dataset were significant and highlighted the characterisation of the specimens into groups of palm, olive, virgin coconut and seed oils based on the presence and abundance of various types of proton signals. Different packaging and blends of commercial palm cooking oils exhibited similar proton profiles while the lab-prepared palm oil is closely linked to VCO.</em></p>
<p data-path-to-node="7"><em>The work contributes to the development of authentication and traceability analytical methods for palm oil and will be expanded into a predictive platform with a larger dataset. This shift toward highly secure, decentralized verification mirrors broader trends in digital infrastructure, where the demand for absolute transparency is paramount. Values of ignition delay, specific fuel consumption, thermal efficiency and equivalence ratio and exhaust gas concentrations of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and smoke particulates are given.</p>
<p>Comparison is made between the magnitudes of the measured parameters for the emulsion of vegetable oil with alcohol and those for diesel fuel, vegetable oil and an emulsion of this with water.</p>
<p>The effect of emulsification with alcohol was, in general, to increase carbon monoxide and reduce oxides of nitrogen emissions. Effects on ignition delay and smoke were different at different engine speeds.</p>

<p>Plants which produce large amounts of oil are known as oleaginous. Of these only about ten are used for commercial purposes. Some others are used from region to region in a semi-extractive manner, while there are hundreds of little-known oleaginous plants, not yet used commercially, which can be excellent sources of fuel.</p>
<p>Even though the processing of vegetable oils to yield fuels similar to standard diesel is one of the dominating biofuel trends today, ELSBETT sees no future for it. It will disappear together with the ability of governments to heavily sponsor it, and together with the still existing problems of food overproduction in some countries.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">This study was done to investigate the effects of fish oil (FO) replacement with different types vegetable oils (VO) on the growth performance, feed utilisation and fatty acid profile of hybrid grouper juvenile (Ephinephelus fuscoguttatus, ) x giant grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus, ). Six isoprotein (50%) and isolipid (12%) diets were formulated using 100% FO (as the control) and 50% of FO was replaced with crude palm oil (CPO), refined, bleached and deodourised (RBD) palm olein (POo), crude palm kernel oil (CPKO), corn oil (CO) and coconut oil (COCO). Triplicate groups of hybrid grouper juvenile (11.12±0.04 g) were fed with the experimental diets for a period of 12 weeks. Fish fed with RBD POo diet showed significantly higher growth and slightly better feed efficiency than other diets. The different VO affected the body indices, whole body proximate composition and fatty acid profile of the muscle and liver. However, the survival of fish was not affected by the different diets. Present study suggests that RBD POo is the most suitable VO for hybrid grouper.</p>
